たとえば、

発熱は人間の通常の生活にとって有害なものです。

 

しかし、

発熱の本当の目的は、

病原体の排除をするために必要な免疫反応の結果というのが科学的な見方の一つです。

 

この考え方によれば、発熱は生体防御の一つの手段であり、

病原体の排除に必要なものです。

 

そのために、発熱が有害事象であると判断するのは不適切です。
